Turn your whole season into one fundraiser

The squares game your fans already love — stretched across every Friday night. Each player sells a few squares, every square plays in every game, and the platform runs the numbers, winners, and tracking for you.

Most football squares pools live and die in a single afternoon. You print a grid, chase everyone for cash, fill in the numbers by hand, and by Sunday night it’s over. A season squares fundraiser flips that: supporters buy in once, and their squares ride along for every game on your schedule. More games means more chances to win, more reasons to buy, and a board your community watches all the way to the playoffs.

For a booster club, it’s the rare fundraiser that’s genuinely fun — and because every player is selling, the totals add up quickly. Here’s how to run one, what the platform handles for you, and a calculator to set your goal.

Why it raises more

One sale, a whole season of excitement

🎟️

Buy once, play all season

A supporter buys a square one time and it’s in the mix for every Friday-night game — not a single Saturday. One sale, a whole season of reasons to care about the score.

🔥

Every game is a new shot

Numbers redraw before each game, so a dull number in Week 1 doesn’t sink anyone’s season. Fresh winners every week keeps fans checking the board all the way to the playoffs.

📣

Players become your sales team

Each player gets a personal link and a spot on the leaderboard. Selling a handful of squares each adds up fast — and a little friendly competition moves a lot of boards.

🔁

No cap at 100 squares

Sell out a grid? Open another. Each new series of 100 squares plays every game too, so a big roster can run multiple grids and keep selling as long as there’s demand.

How it works

Built around your players selling

You set a simple target — say, every player sells ten squares. Each square a player sells is locked into the season grid and plays in every game. Before each game, the 0–9 numbers along the top and side redraw at random, so winning is fresh every week and nobody’s stuck with a bad draw for the season. As the scores come in, winners are highlighted automatically, and each player’s sales are tracked to them on a live leaderboard.

And you’re never boxed in by the grid size. A grid holds 100 squares — so once your roster sells through the first 100, you simply open another series of 100, and another after that. Every new grid plays the same schedule, so a big program can run several boards at once and keep selling right up to kickoff. (With, say, 45 players selling ten squares each, you’d run five grids — the calculator below works it out for you.)

The automation

What the platform does so you don’t have to

The whole point: run a season-long fundraiser without living in a spreadsheet.

Numbers draw themselves — every week
Before each game the 0–9 grid numbers redraw at random and reveal at lock time. No re-doing the grid by hand all season.
Scores in, winners out
Type the score by quarter, half, and final and the winning squares highlight automatically — across every grid, for every game.
A link and a leaderboard for every player
Each player sells from their own link; every square is credited to them with live standings, so you always know who sold what.
Reward your top sellers
Set prizes for the players who sell the most — cash or items — and the leaderboard runs the race for you. A gift card for the top seller pays for itself many times over.
Progress meters keep momentum
A live goal meter shows the whole program how close you are — great to post in the team chat and at games.
You keep 100% of what you collect
Supporters pay your boosters directly by Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check. ChooseASquare never touches the money and takes no cut.
A clean payout report at the end
When the season wraps, export who won what and what the program raised — no shoebox of receipts, no spreadsheet wrangling.

🔁 You’re not capped at 100. That’s 5 series of 100 squares. Sell out one grid and open the next — each new series plays every game too, so you can keep selling as long as there’s demand.

Estimate only. In the app you control the price, the payout %, and exactly how each game’s pot splits across quarters, halftime, and final. Numbers above assume every square sells.

Run it in a week

From schedule to game night

1

Add your schedule

Create a Series & Playoff Squares contest and add your regular-season games — type them in or pull them from the games library with logos and start times.

2

Set price, payout & roster

Pick your price per square, how much of each game’s pot pays out to winners, and add your players as sellers.

3

Players share their links

Each player posts their personal link to family, friends, and the stands. Squares fill up; the goal meter climbs.

4

Run game night on autopilot

Numbers lock and draw, you enter scores, winners light up. Repeat each week — then export the payout report.

FAQ

Season squares, answered

How is a season squares fundraiser different from a Super Bowl grid?
A normal squares grid covers one game. A season grid uses Series & Playoff Squares: a supporter buys a square once and it plays in every game on your schedule, with fresh numbers drawn before each game. That means one sale generates excitement and payouts all season instead of for a single afternoon.
How many squares should each player sell?
A solid target is about ten squares per player — enough to add up across a roster without overwhelming anyone. Use the calculator above to see how your roster size, squares per player, and price combine, and to set a realistic team goal.
What should we charge per square?
Because a season square plays in every game, price it for the whole schedule, not one game. A good rule of thumb is roughly $5 per game — so about $50 for a ten-game season. The calculator suggests a price based on your schedule, and you can adjust it to fit your community.
What if we have more than 100 squares to sell?
Each grid holds 100 squares. When you sell past 100, you release another full series so the new squares also play every game. The platform can add grids on demand or automatically once one fills.
How do the payouts work across a full season?
You set what share of the pot pays out to winners; the rest stays with your program. Each game pays out from that pot — by quarter, halftime, and final if you like — and the platform computes every winner automatically.
Do we ever handle the platform taking a cut of our money?
No. Supporters pay your boosters directly through your own Venmo, PayPal, cash, or check. ChooseASquare is software only — it never holds funds and takes no percentage of your fundraiser.
Can families pay from their phones?
Yes. The whole thing is mobile-first: a player shares one link, supporters claim squares and see how to pay in seconds, and the live board updates on game night.
Which plan do we need?
Season-long Series & Playoff Squares is part of the Champion plan, which also unlocks seller leaderboards, custom branding, and the games library. There’s no platform fee for your supporters — they only pay the price per square you set.
