Referral Program Terms
Last updated: August 12, 2026
These terms cover the ChooseASquare referral program. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. ChooseASquare is operated by CHOOSEASQUARE.COM LLC, 11750 W 135th St, Unit #5090, Overland Park, KS 66221.
1. Who can take part
Anyone with a ChooseASquare account can refer, including free accounts. You may not refer yourself. That includes signing up a second account you control, using another address that reaches you, or arranging for someone to refer you in exchange for sharing the reward. Referrals that appear to be self-referrals may be voided.
2. How a referral is recorded
When someone follows your referral link we record it for 90 days. If they create a ChooseASquare account in that time, the referral is attached to their account at sign-up. They can also type your code when they sign up. An account can be referred only once and cannot be re-attributed to a different referrer later.
3. What earns credit
You earn when an account you referred makes its first paid purchase. Sign-ups on their own earn nothing. A purchase of $0 — for example one fully covered by a 100%-off code — does not earn.
The amount depends on what they buy, and subscriptions and one-time purchases are rewarded at different rates. Current rates are shown on the referral page and in your account. Percentage rewards are calculated on the amount we actually collect, after any discount they used.
4. What the person you refer gets
They receive a percentage off their first purchase, at the rate shown when they followed your link. It applies once, to that first purchase only.
5. The reward is account credit
Referral rewards are issued as credit on your ChooseASquare account, applied automatically to your own future purchases. Credit is not cash, has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, exchanged or transferred, and is not redeemable for money. Referral credit does not expire. Credit issued by us for other reasons may carry an expiry date, which will be shown with it.
6. Holding period and review
Credit appears in your account as soon as it is earned, but is held for a short period (currently 30 days) before it can be spent, to cover the period in which the purchase that earned it could be refunded. We also review larger amounts by hand before releasing them.
7. Reversal
If the purchase that earned a reward is refunded or charged back, the reward is reversed. Where the credit has already been spent, we do not ask you to repay it, but we may pause further referral credit until the balance clears. If we later win a chargeback dispute, the reward is restored.
8. We can switch off referring on an account
We may disable an account’s ability to refer at any time, at our discretion, including where we suspect abuse or a breach of these terms. Doing so stops further referrals being recorded and further credit being earned. It does not, by itself, remove credit you have already earned — we would void specific credit separately, and only where we believe it was not properly earned.
9. Changing or ending the program
We may change the rates, the holding period or any other part of this program, or end it altogether, at any time. Credit you have already earned and that has been released remains yours to spend. Credit still in its holding period when a change takes effect will be honoured at the rate that applied when it was earned.
10. Taxes
You are responsible for any tax consequences of rewards you receive. Because rewards are account credit toward your own purchases rather than cash payments, we do not currently expect to issue tax forms for them. This is not tax advice; speak to your own adviser if you are unsure.
