A Century Club (also called a 300 Club, 500 Club, or “X Club”) sells a fixed number of numbered squares at a set price — a 300 Club at $100 a square, for example. Instead of one drawing, you run a recurring series of drawings — usually monthly — over a season or a full year, awarding cash or prize tiers each time a number is drawn.

It’s built for programs that want a steady, recurring fundraiser with a leaderboard and momentum, not a one-and-done raffle. This guide covers every setting the commissioner controls.

Creating your club

Set the size and price once at creation — the rest you tune from the Prizes & Drawings screen after.

Number of squares: How many numbered squares exist — 100, 300, 500, or any count you choose. This is your club size.
Price per square: What each numbered square costs. Squares × price is your pot if the club sells out.
Contest runs (start / end month): The months your club is active. One drawing is auto-scheduled per month across this window as a starting point — you can add, edit, or remove drawings after.
Drawing method: Choose whether you’ll run each drawing yourself (random pick or enter the number you drew) or have it auto-draw on the scheduled date.
A square can win more than once: Off (default) removes a number from later draws once it wins, so every number gets one shot. On lets the same number stay eligible and win repeatedly.
List publicly: On lets anyone find the club by searching the home page. Off makes it invite-only via your shared link.

How members claim numbers

Number grid: Supporters open your shared link, see every numbered square as available, taken, or theirs, and tap to select one or more open numbers.
Payment at claim: After picking numbers, the buyer chooses a payment method — Venmo, PayPal, mailed check, or cash — and pays you directly. ChooseASquare never holds or routes the money.
One-tap Venmo/PayPalPro: Buyers can pay with one tap with the amount prefilled, and you mark each claim paid as payments come in.
Receipt auto-matchPro: Forwarded Venmo/PayPal receipts are automatically matched to the right claim instead of you reconciling by hand.

Draw schedule & periods

Auto-scheduled monthly draws: Creating the club builds one drawing per month from your start month through your end month, each named for its month (e.g. “March 2027”).
Add / edit / delete a drawing: Add extra drawings, rename any drawing, or change its date and time from the Prizes & Drawings screen — anytime before it’s been drawn.
Auto-draw timing: If drawing method is set to auto-draw, each drawing runs itself once its scheduled date/time passes; no need to log in to trigger it.

Prize tiers, pot & what you keep

Pot: Squares sold × price — shown live as squares sell, alongside the full sold-out pot (square count × price).
Prize tiers per drawing: For each drawing, set as many places as you like (1st, 2nd, 3rd, …), each as cash (a dollar amount) or a physical item (free text, e.g. “Signed jersey”).
Copy prizes to all drawings: Set one drawing’s prize tiers once, then apply the same tiers to every other drawing in one click instead of re-entering them.
What you keep: There’s no separate cut setting — your program keeps the pot minus whatever cash you allocate to prizes. Item prizes don’t reduce the cash total.

Sellers & leaderboard

Target squares per seller: An optional quota — how many squares you’d like each seller to sell. Shown next to their name on the leaderboard.
Sellers can sell past their target: On (default) lets a seller keep selling after hitting quota. Off enforces the quota as a hard cap so a seller can’t sell more than their share.
LeaderboardPro: Live standings ranking every seller by squares sold and dollars raised, visible on the console.
Top-seller prizesPro: Set cash or item prizes for the top N sellers by rank, separate from the number-drawing prizes.

Running each draw

Draw randomly: Randomly selects a winning number (or numbers, for multiple places) from sold squares and records the winner(s) instantly.
Enter numbers I drew: If you’re drawing live in person (a physical bin, a spinning cage), type in the number(s) that came up for each place instead of letting the app pick.
Undo a drawing: Reverses a completed drawing — useful if you entered the wrong number or need to redo it.
Delete a drawing: Removes a scheduled (not-yet-drawn) drawing from the schedule entirely.

FAQ

What is a Century Club or X Club?

A recurring number-pool raffle: you sell a fixed number of numbered squares (100, 300, 500 — your choice) at a set price, then run periodic drawings — usually monthly — awarding cash or prizes to the numbers drawn each time.

How is the pot and my cut calculated?

The pot is squares sold × price. There’s no separate percentage or flat cut to configure — you keep the pot minus whatever cash you allocate across your prize tiers. Item prizes (not cash) don’t reduce the total.

Can the same number win twice?

By default, no — once a number is drawn it’s removed from later drawings so every number gets one shot. You can flip this at setup to let numbers stay eligible and win repeatedly.

How do members pay for their numbers?

They pick numbers on the shared grid, then pay you directly via Venmo, PayPal, mailed check, or cash — whichever methods you’ve enabled. ChooseASquare never holds or processes the money.

Do I have to be online to run a drawing?

No — set drawing method to auto-draw and each drawing runs itself on its scheduled date, or draw manually anytime by clicking "Draw randomly" or entering the numbers you drew live.

Can I run this for a full year, or change the schedule later?

Yes — pick any start and end month at creation (a full year, a season, or shorter), and add, rename, reschedule, or delete individual drawings anytime before they’re drawn.
