Series Pick'Em — Commissioner Setup Guide

Run a season-long Golf or NASCAR Series pick'em: choose the events, set roster size and scoring, pick per-event or season-end payouts, and pay winners as you go.

Series Pick'Em pool commissioners · 6 min read

Series Pick’Em is a season-long roster pool that runs across multiple events instead of just one — a Golf Series across a slate of tournaments (majors, a full season, or anything in between), or a NASCAR Series across a stretch of races. Before each event, every entry builds a roster of golfers or drivers; points build all season, and the highest season total wins.

It’s one engine that runs both sports (you just pick the kind), and the commissioner controls the event slate, roster size, scoring, and whether winners get paid after each event or all at once at season end. This guide covers every setting you control.

Creating your series

Series Pick’Em is a Pro Commissioner feature — pick Golf or NASCAR, then set the shape of the season.

Golf or NASCARPro
The series “kind.” Golf pulls the season’s tournament schedule; NASCAR pulls races for a chosen series.
NASCAR series
For NASCAR, choose Cup Series, Xfinity Series, or Craftsman Truck Series — the race list loads for that series.
Series name
What players see, e.g. “2026 Golf Series” or “2026 NASCAR Series.”
Roster size per event
How many golfers or drivers each entry picks for every event — 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8.
Scoring method
Golf: prize money earned, position points, lowest combined score, or average finish. NASCAR: official points, finish-position points, or average finish.

Choosing your events

A series needs at least 2 events, pulled from the season schedule a platform admin has imported.

Pick events
Check off the tournaments or races that make up your series from the loaded season schedule.
Load all majors
Golf one-tap preset — auto-selects the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and The Open.
Playoffs (last 10)
NASCAR one-tap preset — auto-selects the final 10 races of the loaded schedule.
Select all / Clear
Select every loaded event for a full-season series, or clear your picks and start over.

Entry fee, pot & organizer cut

Entry fee
What each entry pays to join the series. Players pay you through the app’s in-app payment step at join — you never route money through us.
Organizer cut
What your program keeps before payouts — a percentage of the pool, a flat total, or a flat amount per entry. Set on the Settings tab; the pot is always shown net of it. No Fundraising add-on required.

Payout timing & prizes

Prize amounts are set in the console after you create the series, once you know how many entries joined.

Payout timing
“Pay at season end” settles everything once, on the final season standings. “Pay after each event” pays that event’s winner(s) as soon as it finalizes, and a season prize still pays out at the end.
Per-event prizes
Set a payout for each event’s top scorer(s) — a fixed dollar amount or a % of the pot — on the console’s Prizes panel.
Season overall prizes
Set the payout for the final season standings — 1st place, or multiple ranked places — as a fixed dollar amount or a % of the pot.

Running the series

Building a roster each event
Before each event locks, every entry picks its roster from that event’s field. Rosters can be changed right up until the event’s lock time.
Live scoringPro
Once an event is underway, results sync in and standings refresh automatically as the leaderboard moves.
Season & per-event standings
Players see a running season leaderboard (cumulative points across every event) and, once an event locks, that event’s own standings.
Finalize an event
Locks in that event’s scoring; if payout timing is “per event,” it also pays that event’s winner(s) immediately.
Finalize the series
Settles the final season standings, pays the overall winner(s), and closes the series. Winners appear with one-tap “mark sent” payout tracking.

FAQ

What’s the difference between a Golf Series and a NASCAR Series pool?

Same engine, different sport — Golf Series runs across tournaments (with a “load all majors” shortcut) and NASCAR Series runs across races in a chosen series (Cup, Xfinity, or Truck), with a “last 10 races” playoff shortcut. Everything else — roster building, scoring, payouts — works the same way.

How many events does a series need?

At least 2. You can run a short majors-only slate, a playoffs stretch, or select every event for a full-season series.

Do I pick a new roster for every event?

Yes — before each event locks, every entry builds a fresh roster from that event’s field. Your season score is the sum of every event you’ve played.

Can I pay winners after each event instead of waiting for the season to end?

Yes — set payout timing to “Pay after each event” and each event’s winner(s) are paid as soon as you finalize that event. A season-long overall prize can still pay out at the very end.

How does scoring work?

It depends on your scoring method: golf can score by prize money earned, position points, lowest combined score, or average finish; NASCAR can score by official points, finish-position points, or average finish. Your season total is the sum across every event you played.

How are payouts and the organizer cut handled?

The pot is entries × fee, minus your organizer cut (a %, a flat total, or a flat per-entry amount, set on the Settings tab). You allocate the net pot across per-event prizes and/or season-overall prizes, and pay winners through the console.
