FAQ
Blind Draw, answered.
What is Blind Draw?+
A postseason pool where you pick a numbered box in each round instead of picking teams. When the round starts, the teams are dealt into the boxes at random and you find out which one you own. Your team’s runs in the games they win become your points.
Why pick a box instead of a team?+
Because with twelve teams and one obvious favourite, everybody picks the same team and the pool has no game in it. Dealing the teams at random means nobody can take the Dodgers — and it means a casual fan who has never watched an inning has exactly the same chance as the person who follows every game.
Can two people pick the same box?+
Yes, as many as want it. They get the same team and the same points for that round, and the pool is still decided by the whole four-box combination — there are 8 × 8 × 4 × 2 of those. It also means the pool never sells out, so a booster club can keep selling entries right up to the deadline.
Can I buy more entries to cover every team?+
You can buy as many entries as you like, and it will not help you cheat. Owning all eight wild-card boxes only means one of your entries has the best wild-card team; that entry still needs the other three rounds to cooperate. Covering every possible path would take 512 entries.
What happens if my team gets knocked out?+
Nothing bad — you get a fresh team next round. Every entry holds a team in every round through the World Series, which is the point: nobody is sitting out the last three weeks of October.
Do I have to do anything after I pick?+
No. The teams are dealt automatically when each round starts, and the scores grade themselves from the real schedule. You get an email when your teams land.
Which plan is it on?+
Blind Draw is free on every plan. Players never pay a platform fee — only the entry price the organizer sets, paid directly to them.
Our own postseason game: players pick a numbered box in every round before the bracket exists, and the teams are dealt in at random when each round starts. Unlimited players per box, nobody ever eliminated, deals and scoring automatic.
